Who this policy covers
MC Global Freight Solutions LLC is a licensed freight brokerage based in Hackettstown, New Jersey. This policy explains how we handle information across two contexts: our public marketing website, and our transportation management platform (the “platform”), which freight brokers, carriers, and shippers use during our controlled Phase 1 pilot. Different information is collected depending on whether you are an unauthenticated website visitor or an authenticated platform user, as described below. As a broker, we arrange transportation between shippers and independent motor carriers; we do not operate the trucks that move freight, and our partners maintain their own privacy practices.
Information we collect
We collect the following, depending on how you interact with us:
- Website inquiries — when you submit a quote, contact, or carrier form, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, and freight or shipment details (pickup and delivery locations, equipment, dates, commodity, weight, and any notes). No account is required to contact us through the website.
- Account & identity (platform) — when you are granted access, we collect your name, email address, and the organization and role assigned to you via Supabase Auth. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider; we do not store your password.
- Carrier & compliance data — motor carrier (MC) and USDOT numbers, insurance and certificate-of-insurance (COI) details, and authority and safety data retrieved from public FMCSA sources, along with the results of compliance reviews performed on the platform.
- Load & commercial data — shipment and load details, quotes, pricing and margin data, and rate confirmations that you or your organization enter into the platform.
- Uploaded documents — load-related documents such as bills of lading (BOL), proof of delivery (POD), and receipts.
- Technical & audit data — our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log standard technical data such as IP address and browser type. Within the platform we keep an append-only audit log of key actions (for example, pricing overrides, compliance decisions, and status changes), including the acting user and a timestamp.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- operate and provide the service — quoting, load booking, carrier compliance gating, dispatch, rate confirmations, and document management;
- respond to inquiries, prepare freight quotes, and coordinate transportation;
- verify carrier authority, insurance, and compliance status;
- maintain security, prevent misuse, and keep auditable records; and
- comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Multi-tenant data isolation
The platform is multi-tenant. Each organization’s data — including commercial and pricing information — is logically isolated using database row-level security (RLS), so users only see records belonging to the organizations and roles they are authorized for. Sensitive commercial and margin figures are further masked between parties (commercial snapshot masking), so, for example, a carrier does not see a broker’s margin. This isolation is a core feature designed to let brokers, shippers, and carriers share the platform safely.
How we share information & sub-processors
We do not sell or rent your personal information. As a brokerage, we share shipment details with the carriers, drivers, dispatchers, and logistics partners needed to book, move, clear, and deliver freight. We also rely on a limited set of service providers who process information on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and document storage, hosted in the United States.
- Vercel — website and application hosting and delivery, hosted in the United States.
- FMCSA (U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) — public carrier authority and safety lookups used for compliance checks.
- Email delivery provider — used to send account and transactional emails (once enabled).
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed on infrastructure located in the United States. Where our service providers operate in more than one region, your information is handled under their standard security and confidentiality commitments.
Cookies, sessions & analytics
The platform uses strictly necessary authentication session cookies (provided by Supabase) to keep you signed in and operate securely. Our public marketing website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and performance; these are privacy-friendly, do not use cookies to identify you, and do not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your information for targeted advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy.
Phone & text communication
By submitting a form or giving us your phone number, you agree that MC Global Freight Solutions LLC and our dispatch team may contact you by phone, text/SMS, or email about your freight, quote, or carrier inquiry and related logistics services. This is our sales and dispatch follow-up; the platform itself does not send automated text messages. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help, and you can ask us to stop contacting you using the details below. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention & audit logging
We retain lead, account, shipment, and document information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet operational, legal, tax, and freight recordkeeping requirements, which may extend for several years after a shipment is complete. For security and compliance we maintain an append-only audit log that preserves an accurate history of key actions; audit records may be retained where we have a legal or legitimate business reason to do so.
Security
We protect information using authentication and role-based access controls, tenant isolation enforced at the database layer (RLS), encryption in transit, and time-limited signed URLs for document access rather than public links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold, to correct it, or to request that we delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Some data — such as audit records — may be retained where we have a legal or legitimate business reason. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights and will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for business use and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our platform, or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date shown above. Your continued use of our website or platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
